Bring your whole business in from any app's export

Bit & Grain now imports your clients, invoices, estimates, and expenses from any app's export, without you telling it which app that was.

Drop your export on the new importer, several CSV files or one zip, up to 25 files at once. Bit & Grain reads the column headers and a small masked sample, figures out the mapping itself, and shows you a plain-language summary before anything is written: how many invoices it found, for how many clients, the dollar total, the statuses, and anything it could not read. Rows it cannot make sense of go to a quarantine list with the reason and the raw cells, so you can fix them right there instead of hunting through the file. If a column got matched wrong, the Fix the column mapping screen shows the guess pre-filled and lets you correct it and stage again as many times as you need, free. Nothing lands in your account until you press Import, and if the result is not what you wanted, an Undo import button removes everything the batch created for 24 hours. Your data stays private: names, emails, phones, and street addresses are replaced with placeholders before the sample is read. Before this, switching meant one small CSV at a time through the column mapper, matching every column by hand.

Say you are leaving Jobber, Housecall Pro, QuickBooks, Invoice Ninja, FreshBooks, or a bookkeeper's homemade spreadsheet. Export everything, drop the whole pile on Bit & Grain, and read the summary: 214 invoices for 87 clients, $412,000 total, 12 rows quarantined for a blank status. You set those 12 to draft with one click, press Import, and your history is in. Invoices and estimates link up to the right clients automatically, and partial payments carry over with the amount already paid. Jobs still come in through the column mapper for now.
