SMS Terms
Last updated: May 18, 2026
Bit & Grain Technologies LLC ("Bit & Grain") provides a business management platform that small contractors use to run their businesses. Some of those contractors send SMS messages to their clients through Bit & Grain. This page explains what to expect, who the sender is, and how to stop receiving messages.
Who is the sender?
Bit & Grain Technologies LLC is the sender of record for all SMS messages delivered through the platform. We send messages on behalf of the contractor whose business invited you, through our SMS service provider Twilio. All messages come from a single number: +1 (253) 300-4676. The disclosure you saw at the moment you opted in named that contractor's business explicitly. If you don't remember opting in to messages from a specific business, reply STOP and contact the business directly.
What kinds of messages will I receive?
- Appointment reminders, typically one message about 24 hours before your appointment and one about an hour before.
- Replies to those reminders— if you reply to a reminder (for example, asking to reschedule), the contractor can text you back through the same Bit & Grain number.
- Follow-ups related to a job, estimate, or invoice - only if the contractor has set up an automated follow-up rule for those events.
You will notreceive marketing or promotional messages through Bit & Grain's SMS pipeline.
How often?
Frequency varies. A typical client receives one to two messages per appointment. There is no recurring schedule independent of your appointments and active jobs.
How do I stop?
Reply STOP to any SMS we send (from +1 (253) 300-4676) to stop receiving messages. Standard carrier opt-out keywords (STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT) are honored. There is no fee for replying STOP. You can also ask the contractor directly to remove your phone number from their SMS list.
How do I get help?
Reply HELP to any SMS from +1 (253) 300-4676for instructions, or contact the contractor through the channels they use for normal business communication. For platform-level questions about Bit & Grain, see our Contact page.
Carrier disclaimer
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Bit & Grain and the contractor make reasonable efforts to deliver messages promptly, but message delivery is not guaranteed.
What did you agree to?
When you provided your phone number and checked the SMS opt-in box on an intake form (or otherwise opted in through a Bit & Grain capture surface), you agreed to the following disclosure. The contractor's business name appears in place of [business name]:
“By checking this box, I agree to receive recurring SMS messages from Bit & Grain Technologies LLC on behalf of [business name], at the phone number above, including appointment reminders and replies to those reminders. Messages are sent from +1 (253) 300-4676. Message frequency varies (typically 1–2 per appointment). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time (no fee for replying STOP), or HELPfor help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.”
The full SMS program description, sender identity, message types, and opt-out mechanics are documented on this page. The handling of phone numbers and SMS opt-in data is documented in our Privacy Policy, specifically the SMS Communications section.
