Bit & Grain takes the appointments on your calendar for a given day and orders them into a single-day route. Less windshield time between stops, more billable hours on site.

How it works

Open today's date in Route Planning. Every scheduled appointment shows up as a stop. The route is built around your starting location and ordered to cut backtracking, the goal is fewer miles and a tighter day, not abstract optimization.

Stops carry the job context with them: the client name, the work scope, the appointment time, the gate code, and the directions to the next stop. One tap opens the job; one tap opens the map.

  • Day-scoped route, pick a date, see the route for that day.
  • Stops pulled from your scheduling calendar (every appointment becomes a stop).
  • Each stop links straight to the job page and the navigation map.
  • Re-order on the fly when something changes, a customer cancels, an emergency comes in.
  • Available on Free, no tier gate.

What it is, and what it isn't

Today's Route Planning is single-day, single-operator. One person, one truck, one day's worth of stops. That's the shape that matches what most one-truck and small-crew operations actually need: a clean run-sheet for tomorrow morning.

It is not multi-vehicle fleet routing. It is not multi-day territory planning. Those are bigger problems that warrant a different tool; we're not pretending to solve them inside the workflow today.

  • Single day at a time, pick today, tomorrow, or any future scheduled day.
  • Single operator's route, the logged-in user's appointments for that day.
  • Re-orderable, drag stops to fit weather, traffic, or a customer call.

Why this matters

Windshield time is the silent killer of trade margins. Five extra minutes between every stop on a 6-stop day is half an hour of unbilled driving. A clean route turns that back into billable work or an earlier evening at home.

Route Planning doesn't try to be smarter than you about your territory, you already know your roads. It just orders the stops so you stop driving past stop #5 on your way to stop #2.
