Quote, send, get paid, without leaving the job.
Build an estimate from a job's materials and labor in a few taps. Send it to the customer for approval. Convert the approved estimate to an invoice on a click. Collect payment via Stripe and the invoice marks paid automatically.
The flow, end to end
A new job already has the data an estimate needs, materials, labor, scope, client. Bit & Grain pulls that data into an estimate without re-typing.
Send the estimate as a shareable link. The customer views it on their phone, approves with a tap or e-signs the scope. When work is done, convert the estimate to an invoice, same line items, finalized totals.
Email the invoice with a Stripe payment link. The customer pays from any card, the money lands in your bank, and the invoice flips to paid the moment the webhook fires. No reconciliation step.
- Estimate built from the job's materials and labor, no re-typing.
- Customer approval via a shareable link; e-signature captured on the customer portal.
- One-click convert from approved estimate to invoice.
- Stripe Connect for accepting customer card payments today.
- Invoice auto-marks paid when the Stripe webhook clears.
What's on the invoice itself
Line items pull from the materials list (each with unit + quantity + unit price), the labor log, and any change-order adjustments. Tax handling supports a flat tax rate per invoice.
Branding is yours: your business name, your address, your logo on the PDF. The customer sees a polished document, not a generic template.
- Material line items with unit, quantity, and unit price.
- Labor line items by crew member, subcontractor, or flat fee.
- Change-order adjustments rolled in.
- Flat per-invoice tax rate.
- PDF rendering with your business branding (name, address, logo).
What's shipped vs near-term
Stripe Connect for accepting customer card payments is live today. PayPal is the next payment option on the roadmap, coming Q2 2026. Until then, Stripe handles the card-payment surface.
Recurring invoices, retainers, and full advanced reporting are roadmap items for later 2026. The current invoice surface is single-invoice-per-job, which covers the vast majority of project-based trade billing.
- Stripe Connect customer payments, live.
- PayPal payment option, coming Q2 2026.
- Recurring invoicing + retainers, on the roadmap (later 2026).
Free-tier limits
Free includes 5 sent invoices per month. That's enough headroom for a small operation getting started. Pro removes the cap for $29/mo, unlimited estimates and invoices.
There's no cap on estimates on either tier; the cap is on sent invoices. You can build and revise estimates freely while a deal is in progress.
Available on the Free tier.
