Text clients from a registered business number, keep replies with the client
You can now text your clients straight from inside Bit & Grain, and their replies land on the client's record instead of in your personal messages.
Two-way SMS sends from a registered business number, not your cell phone. Before this, keeping clients in the loop by text meant handing out your personal number and digging through a phone full of unread group chats to remember who said what. A "running late" reply got buried under everything else on your screen, and you had no record of the conversation anywhere near the client's file.
Now the texting happens where the work already lives. Turn on SMS appointment reminders and the client gets an automatic reminder before the appointment, so you stop sending them by hand. Need to send a quick update like "we're 15 minutes out"? Open the client and type it; the message goes out from your business number. When they text back "the gate code is 4471," that reply threads to the client, so the next time you pull up that client you see the whole conversation, who said what and when, in your Messages inbox and on the client's record. Your cell stays your cell; the client only ever sees the business number.
You'll find it under Messages, and on each client's record where you log calls and notes. Here's how to start: turn on SMS reminders under Settings, then Scheduling, and clients who opt in at booking start getting texts from your business number. The number is carrier-registered, so your messages actually land in their inbox instead of getting filtered as spam, and STOP and HELP replies are handled for you. It's a Pro feature.
