Talk to Grain AI to log job notes and check off work
You can now talk to Grain AI hands-free and have it update your jobs while you work.
Open Grain Voice, tap the mic, and just say what you need. Add a note to a job by name, or mark a punch-list item done, all out loud. Before this, logging a note meant stopping, pulling out your phone, finding the job, and typing it in with one thumb. On a ladder or under a sink, that note usually never got written, and the detail was gone by the end of the day.
Picture wrapping up a water-heater swap. Hands full, you say "Add a note to the Miller job: replaced the T and P valve, old one was leaking at the threads." Grain reads it back so you can hear it got the job right, you say "yes," and the note lands on the job exactly like one you typed. Then "mark the drywall patch complete on the Garcia bathroom," it confirms, you say "yes," and the item is checked off. If you need to grab a real note mid-reply, tap the mic again and it stops talking and starts listening right away. If something is already done, it just tells you so instead of throwing an error at you.
You will find it in the app under Grain AI, on the Grain Voice screen. Here's how to start: tap the mic, say "add a note to" followed by a job name and what happened, then say "yes" to confirm. It's available on every plan. On Pro you get sharper voice recognition, a more natural spoken voice, and no daily limit; Free uses your browser's built-in voice and is capped at ten requests a day.
