Add your crew, track your numbers, and close your account safely
You can now add your crew to Bit & Grain, see what your business actually made, and close your account on your own terms.
This release brings two big things to the office side of your shop. First, you can invite the people who work for you. Send a teammate an email invitation, pick what they are allowed to see and do, and they accept from a link and land right in your business. Before this, there was no good way to let an office manager handle your invoices or give a tech a look at their jobs without handing over your own login. Now everyone gets their own way in, and what they see is shaped by their role: an owner or admin sees everything, a manager can work estimates and invoices, and a technician sees the jobs they are on without the money screens. If you run more than one business, a switcher up top lets you jump between them, and the menu changes to match whichever one you are in. Second, the money side is in plain view. There is an Income report that pulls together what came in from invoices plus any cash payments or refunds you log by hand, an Expenses report where you record what you spent and tag it to the right tax line, a Profitability view that nets the two so you can see where you actually stand, and a tax export that downloads a Schedule C ready file for the quarter you pick.
Picture the end of a busy month. Your office manager has been logging expenses all along, so the receipts are already in. You open Profitability, filter to last month, and see in one number whether the kitchen jobs paid better than the bathrooms. Come quarter end, you open the tax export, pick the quarter, and download a file you can hand to your accountant without retyping a thing. And the teammate you brought on never once needed your password to get any of it done.
This release also lets you close your account when you decide to walk away. Ask to delete your account and Bit & Grain holds it for 30 days before anything is erased, so a change of heart never costs you your history. Cancel the deletion any time inside that window and your account comes right back, untouched. You will get an email confirming the request and a clear date for when the clock runs out.
Find teammates under Settings, Team. Reports live in their own section in the left menu (Income, Expenses, Profitability, and Tax Export). Account deletion sits under Settings, Account. Here's how to start: open Settings, Team and send your first invite; then open Reports and log an expense or two so your numbers have something to show. Inviting teammates is a Pro feature (Free includes the owner, Pro adds up to five); the reports and account controls are on every plan.
