Book appointments and let clients pick a time online
You can now book and manage appointments in Bit & Grain, and let clients pick a time online.
Bit & Grain has a full scheduling module. You set your working hours for each day of the week, how long a typical visit runs, how much buffer you want between stops, and how far out clients can book. From there you have an Appointments view that lists what is on the books, with a status on each one (scheduled, confirmed, in progress, completed, cancelled, no-show) so you can see your day at a glance. Before this, your calendar lived in your phone, on a whiteboard, or in your head, and every new appointment meant a phone call back and forth to land on a time that worked.
You also get a booking page on your client portal. Turn on online booking, share the link, and a client picks from the times you actually have open, not a wish list, because the slots come straight from your hours and your existing appointments. Say a homeowner texts you Tuesday night asking when you can come look at the water heater. Instead of trading messages all evening, you send them your booking link, they grab Thursday at 9, and it lands on your calendar with their name and contact captured. Bit & Grain texts them a reminder 24 hours and 1 hour before, so fewer no-shows and fewer "wait, was that today?" calls. If you keep your schedule in Google Calendar or Outlook, every appointment you book here is pushed to it too, so the job site visit shows up next to everything else in your week.
You will find it under Appointments in the main menu, with the controls under Settings then Scheduling. Here's how to start: open Settings, set your working hours and visit length, turn on text reminders and online booking, then share your booking page with your next client. It's a Pro feature.
