Your day at a glance with the new Command Center home screen

Bit & Grain now opens to a rebuilt home screen, the Command Center, that puts the numbers you check first right at the top.

Across the top you get a row of plain stat cards: open jobs, estimates, outstanding invoices, and income this month, each a big number you can read at a glance and tap to jump straight to the list. Below that, charts show your revenue trend and your jobs activity. Then come the detail widgets: service due, low stock, your shopping list, and upcoming appointments. You decide what shows up. Tap Customize and flip any of them on or off. Before this, the dashboard was a flat wall of boxes with no order and no way to hide the parts you don't use.

Say it's Monday morning and you want to know where things stand before you head out. You open the app and the top row tells you four jobs are still open, two estimates are sitting unanswered, and you have $3,200 in invoices still out. Glance down at the detail cards and you see three items are running low for your next trip to the supply house. Then you tap "Estimates" to chase the two that haven't come back yet. No digging through menus to piece together your week.

This release also adds real branding tools under Settings, then Branding. Upload your logo, set your primary and secondary colors, and they show up on your client portal and public page. New here: once your logo is up, tap "Auto-pick from logo" and the app reads the main colors right out of the image so you don't have to fiddle with color pickers. You can also claim a custom subdomain (yourname.bitandgrain.app) for the link you send clients. And when you start a new job, estimate, or invoice, picking the client is now the same fast search box everywhere, with arrow keys to move and Enter to select, plus a "Create new client" option right in the list if they aren't there yet.

Here's how to start: open the app to see the new Command Center, tap Customize to set your widgets, then head to Settings, then Branding to add your logo and colors. It's available on every plan. The revenue trend chart is a Pro feature.
