Give clients one link, log every message, automate your follow-ups
Bit & Grain now gives every client one link, logs every message, and chases your estimates for you.
You can now hand each client a single link that shows their estimates, invoices, and upcoming appointments in one place. Open a client and you get a running history of everything you have sent them: estimates, invoices, review requests, and reminders, all in one log so you never have to dig through your sent mail to remember what went out and when. You can also set up follow-ups that send on their own. Pick the trigger (an estimate you sent, an invoice that went past due, a job you booked), pick how many days to wait, and Bit & Grain sends the nudge for you. If the client accepts the estimate before the nudge is due, it skips it, so you never chase someone who already said yes. Before this, the client link only ever pointed at one record at a time, you had no single place to see what you had sent a client, and every follow-up was a sticky note and a hope you remembered.
Here is what that looks like on a normal week. A new lead fills out the request form you dropped on your website, and it lands in your Requests inbox instead of your texts and voicemail. You turn it into a job in one tap, click Create Estimate to pre-fill the materials and labor straight off that job, and send it. Three days pass with no reply, so the follow-up you set goes out on its own. When the client opens their link, accepts, and you are ready to book the work, Schedule Work reads your work hours and your booked appointments and proposes open slots that actually fit; you pick the ones you want and confirm. From then on the job and the appointment sit together on one calendar, and if you change the materials on the job after the estimate went out, the job page warns you the estimate no longer matches.
You will find the new request form to embed on your site, plus the Requests and Messages pages, in the main menu, and Automations under Settings. The client link, the communication log, Create Estimate, and Schedule Work all live on the client and job pages, and the combined calendar is on the Appointments page. Here's how to start: open a client, copy their portal link to send them, then open Settings and Automations to set your first follow-up. It's available on every plan.
